Wedding Dress Shopping

As a wedding planner, I have helped many brides-to-be prepare for the exciting task of wedding dress shopping. While it can be a fun and memorable experience, it's important to come prepared with the right items and attire to ensure that the day goes smoothly.

Here are some tips on what to bring and wear when wedding dress shopping:

Wear Comfortable Clothing and Shoes: Wedding dress shopping can be a long and tiring process, so it's important to wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can easily move around in. Avoid tight clothing and high heels, as you'll be trying on multiple dresses and walking around the store.

Bring a Strapless Bra: Many wedding dresses have a strapless or low-cut neckline, so it's a good idea to bring a strapless bra with you to try on dresses. This will give you a better idea of how the dress will fit and look on your wedding day.

Bring Any Accessories You Plan to Wear: If you plan on wearing specific jewelry, shoes, or other accessories on your wedding day, bring them with you to try on with dresses. This will give you a better idea of how the whole look will come together.

Bring a Supportive Entourage: While it's important to bring supportive family members or friends with you to your dress appointments, make sure they are people who will give you honest and constructive feedback. Too many opinions can be overwhelming and unhelpful, so choose your entourage wisely.

Bring a Notepad and Pen: It can be helpful to take notes on each dress you try on, including the style, designer, and any alterations you may want. This will help you remember which dresses you liked and disliked, and make the decision-making process easier.

By coming prepared with the right items and attire, you can ensure that wedding dress shopping is a fun and stress-free experience. Happy shopping!
